President of Republic Presents Condolences to Ivorian Counterpart

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent the following message of condolences to the president of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr.
Alassane Ouattara, following the death of Prime Minister Mr. Hamed Bakayoko.

Here is the text of condolences:

« Mr. President and dear brother,

We have learned with sorrow the passing of the late Hamed Bakayoko, Prime minister of Côte d’Ivoire.

In such painful moments, I would like to express, in my name, and on behalf of the Mauritanian people, to you, and through you to the Ivorian government and people and the late’s family, my heartfelt condolences and compassion.

I would also like to pay tribute to this statesman, whose death constitutes a loss to Côte d’Ivoire and all Africa.

Please accept, Mr. President and dear brother, the expression of my highest considerations.
