G5-Sahel Chiefs of staff hold meeting in Ndjamena

The chiefs of staff of armies and air forces of the G5 Sahel countries started Saturday morning their meeting in the Chadian capital, Ndjamena.
The meeting aims at making important decisions in the field of the operational planning and the use of air means to face the security threats, particularly in the areas known as the three-border zone.
This meeting, which is attended from the Mauritanian side by major General Mr.Mohamed Mokhtar belle Shaaban, assistant chief of the general staff of armies, Major General Mohamed Ould Lihreitani, Chief of Staff of the Air Army, preludes tomorrow’s meeting of the G5 Sahel ministers of defense.
