Minister of Equipment Returns to Nouakchott From KSA

On 14 May, Mr. Moctar Ahmed El Yedali, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, returned to Nouakchott from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after taking part in the conference on the future of civil aviation 2022, organized in the city ​​of Riyadh by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia under the patronage of the Guardian of the Holy Places, His Majesty Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, from 9 to 11 May 2022.

The conference enjoyed great global interest, reflected in the strong participation of transport ministers, heads of national civil aviation authorities, and international and regional organizations concerned with civil aviation. It was also a good opportunity for the delegations present to exchange views on experiences to support rapid developments in the aviation market.

During the conference, member countries of the Arab Civil Aviation authorities signed two memorandums of understanding in the field of civil aviation safety, research, and accident investigation.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister held various meetings with the heads of the participating delegations devoted to examining the means of cooperation and coordination on the various issues of common interest in the field of civil aviation.



Among these meetings, we note particularly the one he had with the President of the International Civil Aviation Organization and the Director of Cooperation and Technical Affairs, which was devoted to the examination of the issue of mobilizing support for Mauritania's candidacy for the board of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the period 2022-2025 within the framework of round 3 and the means to develop civil aviation in our country.
