President of Republic Receives UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery

On 12 May in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received Mr. Tomoya Obokata, the UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery. 
The meeting took place in the presence of Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, and Mr. Laurent Meillan, the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to Mauritania.
