President of Republic Leaves for Abidjan

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, left Nouakchott Sunday for Abidjan, Capital of Côte d'Ivoire, to attend the 15th session of the Conference Of the parties (COP15) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

Upon his departure from Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport, His Excellency the President of the Republic was greeted by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, the Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, government members, the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of West Nouakchott, and the President of the Regional Council of Nouakchott.

During this trip, His Excellency the President of the Republic is accompanied by the following delegation:

Mme Aissata Daouda Diallo, the Minister of Environmnt and Sustainable Development,

- Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Director of President of the Republic’s Cabinet,

- Mr. Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Khattra, Mauritanian Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire,

- Mr. Ahmed Ould Bah, aka Hmeida, Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic,

- Mr. Saleh Ould Dehmach, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic,

- Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Protocol.
