President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott

On 19 January, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, returned to Nouakchott from Banjul after attending the Gambian President's swearing-in ceremony.

He was welcomed at Nouakchott Oumtounsy international airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministers of Justice and Interior and Decentralization, the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Western Nouakchott and the Chairperson of the Nouakchott Region.


During this trip, His Excellency the President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation including particularly Messrs.:

- Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad,

- Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, the Director of Cabinet the President of the Republic,

- Isselkou Ould Cheikh El Wely, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic,

- Sidi Mohamed Ould Mohamed Radhi, our ambassador in Banjul,

- Ahmed Salem Ould Mohamed Vadel, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic,

- Sidi Mohamed Ould Sidi Jaafar, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties r at the Presidency of the Republic,

- El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director-General of State Protocol.
