President of Republic Leaves for Gambia

On 18 January, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, left Nouakchott for Banjul where he is due to attend the Gambian President's swearing-in ceremony.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport, His Excellency the President of the Republic was greeted by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, the Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister of Justice, the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of West Nouakchott, and the President of the Regional Council of Nouakchott.

During this trip, His Excellency the President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including particularly Messrs.:

- Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad,

- Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, the Director of Cabinet the President of the Republic,

- Isselkou Ould Cheikh El Wely, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic,

- Sidi Mohamed Ould Mohamed Radhi, our ambassador in Banjul,

- Ahmed Salem Ould Mohamed Vadel, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic,

- Sidi Mohamed Ould Sidi Jaafar, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties r at the Presidency of the Republic,

- El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director-General of State Protocol.
