The President of the republic receives credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of South Africa

The president of the Republic Islamic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani received Tuesday 28 of July 2020 at the presidential palace credentials of newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the republic of south Africa in Mauritania H.E Peter GOOSEN.
The president offered to him an audience in the presence of the minister of foreign affairs, cooperation and Mauritanians abroad M.Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
At the end of the meeting the ambassador said to the press that he is thankful to the president of Mauritania and the government for the opportunity of credentials presentation which now means that formerly he is the ambassador of south Africa .
He also said that he discussed with the president development prospects that can strengthen the Mauritanian economy
He added that he raised continental and regional issues in particular the G5 Sahel.
“I’m here for the purpose of developing a strong partnership between our two states in favour of Mauritania and Africa in general”
Concluded the South African diplomat.
The audience is held in the presence of the director of the president’s cabinet, M. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed and the director general of bilateral cooperation at the ministry of foreign affairs, cooperation and Mauritanians abroad M. Mohamed El Hanchi Ould Ketab.
