Tunisian President Visits Mauritanian Pavilion at Tunis International Book Fair

On 11 November, His Excellency Kais Saïd, the President of the Tunisian Republic, paid a visit to the Mauritanian pavilion at the Tunis International Book Fair, which opened today in Tunis and continues through 21 November.

The Tunisian president was received by Mr. Mokhtar Ould Dahi, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman who thanked Tunisia for hosting the Mauritanian book as a guest of honor. He also gave explanations to President Kais Saied on the important scientific and cultural exhibitions of the Mauritanian pavilion.

Mr. Kais Saied thanked Mauritania for its participation in this fair, describing it as the country of the curators of the Holy Quran by their memory and the homeland of poets, appreciating the various exhibitions of the Mauritanian pavilion and recommending working to valorize and keep the manuscripts.

The Tunis International Book Fair includes a special pavilion for Mauritanian publishers and writers, in which various Mauritanian publications, including books and novels, are presented, in addition to an exhibition of books edited by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports.
