President of Republic Leaves for Glasgow

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, left Nouakchott Sunday for the city of Glasgow (the United Kingdom) to attend the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).

At his departure at Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport, the president of the republic was seen off by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal, the minister secretary-general of the government, government members, the assisting director of the president of the republic’s cabinet, the governor of western Nouakchott, and the vice president of the regional council of Nouakchott.

The president of the republic is accompanied by the following delegation:

- Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Salah, Minister of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines,

-Mme Marième Bekaye, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development,

-Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, Director of the president of the republic’s cabinet,

-HE Mr. Sidiya El Hadj, Mauritanian Ambassador to London,
-Mr. Harouna Traoré, Officer with a Mission at the Presidency of the republic,

-Mr. El Hassen Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Protocol.
