Accompanied by the Tunisian Ambassador to Mauritania, His Excellency Mr. Sabri Chaabani, the Prime minister’s advisor on social affairs, Ba Hampathe, supervised Thursday night the reception of 100.000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

The new batch, donated by the sisterly Republic of Tunisia, aims to bolster the government efforts aimed at combating the pandemic, alleviating its repercussions, and vaccinating the largest number of citizens and residents.

On behalf of the Premier Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal, Ba Hampathe expressed his gratitude to the sisterly Republic of Tunisia for this support, which is not the first of its kind since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On his part, the Tunisian Ambassador said that this aid came at the initiative of the Tunisian President, His Excellency Mr. Kaïs Saïed, in recognition of the President of the Republic and the Mauritanian people’s outpouring solidarity with the Tunisian people in the fight against the pandemic.
